  • Love is an invisible force that fuses us together. It is the only time we feel safe. We have all experienced being immersed, or lost, in love.
We see a hand, or an arm, or an elbow forming, as the essence of Embrace emerges, losing itself in “oneness”.
We are invited into the world of lovers sharing an intimate moment. Where one lover begins and the other ends, is as mysterious as the Embrace itself.

  • There have been many interpretations of the classic statue of Diana- Goddess of the Hunt.
Angelo has brought her into the 20th Century.
Diana’s hidden strength, determination and focus is presented in bold physical form. Her wide stance represents balance and power while being at full draw shows stability under tension.

  • The Cello Player embraces her instrument as though it were a lover rather than a cello; it is wrapped sensuously around her sturdy, yet feminine body. Her face is completely relaxed as she looks to the sky. Her spirit yearns to escape the confines of earth. Sitting cross-legged and leaning slightly to the left, perhaps she is swaying to the music she hears. The Cello Player’s light angelic demeanor is in sharp contrast with the sculpture itself, whose sheer mass dictates that it will forever be tethered to this world.

  • The uncertainty of courtship. Angelo tries to capture the highlights how body language and subtle nuances are key in this universal dance. The male leans into his affection. He presses assertively against her, softly kissing her face. The subtle nuances of her body language (she gently pulls away from him) suggest that she is resisting his advances (slightly). Will she give in to him and melt into his arms? Or will she rebuff him? It is this precise moment of Pursuit, which captures our imagination the most and creates an everlasting impression.

Portraits

The Human face, how magnificent. A sculptor is rewarded when his rendering successfully captures the unique qualities of each individual's face, as well as the spirit behind it. We will exhibit and offer up for sale many of the Portraits. One of Angelo's many commissioned portraits. ( Below) Whitey Ford, New York Yankees.
